These stats alone prove that reform is necessary, and needs to be accelerated in a major way. This has led to ongoing violence in key cities crossed the country, which is costing lives of even more citizens, and even the deaths of police officers and injuries as well. The ongoing racial targeting has sense fueled activists, such as the Black Lives Matter movement that has, sense its founding, has grown considerably in size (Seigol, 2020).
